We believe schooling at this age is about curiosity, confidence, kindness, gratitude, respect, independence and strong fundamentals. You will not find those words repeated below — you will find the day that practises them. We keep some meaningful Indian traditions because they build character, and every family, of every community, is welcome here. Said once. The days say the rest.
Arrival
Children come in, bags on hooks, one small hello each. In the first week there are tears at the door — there always are, at every preschool. What matters is what the teacher does next, and ours has done it a few hundred times.
Circle time
Sitting together, the day begins — a song, the date on the board, who is here today.
Work
Crayons, worksheets, paint on small hands. Fundamentals, practised until they are owned.
Play
The loud part. Also the part where sharing, waiting for a turn, and saying sorry get practised for real.
Home time
Handed back to a known adult — never anyone else — usually holding a paper they are proud of.
